Comments: In spite of the extension of winter weather, the sun and the birds have returned to the North, and the nights are filled with light and song. For the northern summer observing possibilities, click on "viewing the aurora in the northern summer" on the forecast page. We will continue the normal forecast for the benefit of those at lower latitudes and in the Southern Hemisphere, and we will send out alerts in the event of solar disturbances when there is a possibility of K > 4.
