Facilities and Administrative (F&A) Costs
What is this, and how does it apply to me?

1. F&A is basically the new term for indirect cost or overhead.
2. UAF's "standard" F&A rate is 51.3%, modified total direct costs.
3. (MTDC). Current agreement is effective 9/2/98 for FY 1999-2001.

5. The University negotiates our F&A rates with the Office of Naval Research, Indirect Cost Branch, 800 N. Quincy Street, Arlington, VA 22217.
