MST Ponds
ALISON measurements are being made only at MST Pond (PFRR) during the 2007-2008 ice growth and decay season. The site was established on 11 November 2007.
Derrek and Joanne survey the conditions at MST pond on 13 April 2007. The snow cover has begun to melt and refreeze creating an icy layer above the lake ice surface. The white "line" on the pond is the pathway along the sampling transect. Because it has been continually compacted, the snow is very dense and so melts out last.
