Changes to the Processing of GI Time Sheets:

  • If you are exempt staff, a graduate student that is not charging to a work order, a faculty member, or a post doc you will no longer need to turn in a time sheet. You should have already seen your grant manager or your PPA to straighten out your labor charges.

Fairbanks, Alaska—After a vigorous vetting process, the University of Alaska Fairbanks selected Robert “Bob” McCoy as the Geophysical Institute’s new director. McCoy will be the seventh scientist to the hold the post since the institute was established in Fairbanks in 1946.

Training

The Geophysical Institute Director allocates funds each fiscal year for the purpose of supporting staff training and development. These funds are available to GI Staff only, and the program is administered by the GI Human Resource Manager.
