New resources available at Keith B. Mather Library
Twenty new items were added to the Keith B. Mather Library's collection in late October. The additions include a USGS professional paper co-edited by Jeff Freymueller of the Geophysical Institute's Seismology group. You can access a pdf of that paper here.

Alaska D.O.T. Collection
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT & PF) library collection is housed and cataloged by the Keith B. Mather Library at UAF.
Collection: Consists of about 22,500 books, reports, manuals, and periodicals. Each piece has been cataloged with the designation of “DOT” in the call number and can be found in Goldmine, UAF’s online catalog.
Subjects: Highways, Bridges, Airports, Roads, Docks, Harbors, Ferries, Soils, Traffic, Safety, Maintenance, Design, Construction, Operations, Policy, etc.

Fairbanks, Alaska— The Keith B. Mather Library at the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Geophysical Institute now houses the state’s only Patent and Trademark Depository Library.
International Libraries Honored for their Contributions

International Special Libraries Day was commemorated today with a celebration sponsored by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute and International Arctic Research Center’s Keith B. Mather Library in cooperation with the Alaska Library Association Northern Chapter. Select international members of the University of Alaska Fairbanks research staff nominated award winners based on libraries that provided significant contributions and assistance to their careers.
