Wilson Infrasound Observatories Dedication CeremonyAs part of this Workshop, the UAF/GI Infrasound Group will officially take on a new name in the form of the Wilson Infrasound Observatories (WIO), in honor of the pioneering infrasonic work of Professor Charles R. "Buck" Wilson. A dedication ceremony and reception for the WIO and Professor Wilson will be held at the Szuberla home on Tuesday night, 26 September 2006. Transportation to and from the event will be provided and a light dinner with hors d'oeuvres will be served. Participants are asked to bring a sample of their favorite national beverage to the event to share with the Workshop participants and to toast Buck. Homemade Alaskan beers will be provided by the Convener.ProgramThis program is tentative and will be updated as abstracts are received.Sunday: 24 September 200616:00 – 19:00 Pre-registration at the Westmark Hotel – a registration desk will be set up in the Board Room (to the left, as you walk past the front desk).Monday: 25 September 200608:00 – 08:30 Busses from Hotel to UAF/GI08:30 – 09:30 Registration 09:30 – 09:45 Workshop opening • Curt Szuberla, Convener 09:45 – 10:15 Welcome to UAF • Mark Hamilton, President of the University of Alaska 10:15 – 10:30 Welcome to GI • Hans Stenbaek-Nielsen, Associate Director of the Geophysical Institute 10:30 – 11:00 Break Session I: IMS Network and IDC Processing • John Coyne & Tom Hoffmann 11:00 – 11:20 Establishment of the CTBT IMS Infrasound Network - A status report Thomas L.
