Wilson Infrasound Observatories Dedication Ceremony

As part of this Workshop, the UAF/GI Infrasound Group will officially take on a new name in the form of the Wilson Infrasound Observatories (WIO), in honor of the pioneering infrasonic work of Professor Charles R. "Buck" Wilson. A dedication ceremony and reception for the WIO and Professor Wilson will be held at the Szuberla home on Tuesday night, 26 September 2006. Transportation to and from the event will be provided and a light dinner with hors d'oeuvres will be served. Participants are asked to bring a sample of their favorite national beverage to the event to share with the Workshop participants and to toast Buck. Homemade Alaskan beers will be provided by the Convener.
