The UAF Geophysical Institute will offer free public tours during the summer of 2015, starting June 3. The public can learn about the Alaska Satellite Facility, V-ADAPT Inc., the Alaska Earthquake Center, and the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center during weekly tours offered every Wednesday from June 3–Aug. 19. Tours begin at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Elvey Building.

Poker Flat Research Range tours will be offered on Thursdays from June 4–Aug. 20 at Mile 30 Steese Highway. Tours will begin in the Range Administration Center at 2 p.m. each Thursday.

No tours will take place the week of July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Comfortable walking shoes and insect repellent are strongly recommended for the Poker Flat tour. Rain gear is also suggested.

For more information, contact Kaz Alvarez in the GI public relations office. Please send advance notice if planning to bring a group of eight or more.
