BP is offering several merit-based scholarships for the 2012 fall semester for students interested in careers in the energy industry.
Who is Eligible?
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students who have at least a 3.0 GPA and are admitted to one of the following UAF degree programs:
- Petroleum Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Business Administration
How do I apply?
Submit the following materials to the UAF Financial Aid Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012:
- An essay (500 words maximum) on the topic: “How do you see yourself contributing to the future of petroleum as the industry bridges the gap to renewables & alternative energy?”
- A copy of your unofficial transcripts (available at UAOnline).
- Your resume or CV (1 page maximum) including contact email, address and phone number.
You may deliver your materials to the Financial Aid Office at Room 107 Eielson on the UAF campus, fax them to (907) 474-7065 or email them to email@example.com.
All applications must be received by the deadline, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Then what happens?
Your application materials will be reviewed by BP. Up to 12 scholarships of ~$1,000 each will be awarded at the discretion of the selection committee. Selected students will receive the scholarship for the fall 2012 semester. Only selected students will be notified.
