Magnitude 3.01 quake rumbles central Alaska

quake near Kantishna, AK on April 27, 2012Centered just 38 miles south/southeast of Kantishna, Alaska, a magnitude 3.01 earthquake rumbled on April 27, 2012. The earthquake occurred at 4:36 a.m. It was just one of four temblors that rocked the state of a magnitude 3 or greater on this date.
