Pavel Izbekov, a research associate at the Alaska Volcano Observatory at the Geophysical Institute, will provide a free public lecture on Wednesday, June 20 at the Alaska Public Lands Information Center in downtown Anchorage. Fresh from Katmai National Park & Preserve where he led the first session of the International Volcanological Field School, Izbekov will present "Exploration of Katmai and the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes" at 2 p.m. 

The Alaska Public Lands Information Center in Anchorage is located at 605 West 4th Avenue in Suite 105.
