Bering Glacier, 1988At the recent Federation of Earth Science Information Partners meeting, vgwolf [at] alaska [dot] edu (Vicky Wolf) was awarded a mini-grant of $5,000 in the annual FUNding Friday competition held at the meeting. The grant was awarded for a poster proposing to generate metadata to community standards for the Austin Post Glacial Photography Collection held by the Geophysical Institute GeoData Center. Wolf proposed making the photo collection available online in formats compatible with OpenSearch tools and RSS feeds that would enable a broad range of users access to the work.

Wolf is a the User Support supervisor at the Alaska Satellite Facility. The ESIP Federation is a broad-based, volunteer community of researchers and associated groups that produce, interpret and develop applications for Earth and environmental science data.
