BP offers scholarships for 2013 fall semester

BP is offering several merit-based scholarships for the 2013 fall semester for students interested in careers in the energy industry. Who is eligible? Full-timeundergraduate or graduate students who have at least a 3.0 GPA and are admitted to one of the following University of Alaska Fairbanks degree programs:
*Geology
*Geophysics
*Petroleum Engineering
*Mechanical Engineering
*Civil Engineering
*Electrical Engineering
*Economics
*Business Administration
*Accounting
Submit the following materials to the scholarships [at] uaf [dot] edu (UAF Financial Aid Office) by 5 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013:
*An essay (500 word minimum) on the topic: "How do you see yourself contributing to the future of petroleum as the industry bridges the gap to renewables and alternative energy?"
*A copy of your unofficial transcript (available on UAonline).
*Your resume of CV, including contact email, address and phone number.
You may deliver your materials to the UAF Financial Aid Office, room 107 Eielson Building, UAF, fax them to 907-474-7065 or email to them to scholarships [at] uaf [dot] edu.
All applications must be received by the deadline. There are no exceptions.
Then what happens? Application materials will be reviewed by BP. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the selection committee. Selected students will receive the scholarship for the fall 2013 semester. Only selected students will be notified.
