Pacman Retirement: January 2017

The Pacman standard_16, shared, and debug queues will be retired from service on January 16, 2017. Pacman is over five years old and is past end-of-life.

Users are encouraged to migrate to the new HPC cluster, Chinook. If you are the Principal Investigator of a project and want to have an account created on Chinook, please email uaf-rcs@alaska.edu with your request, your project ID, and the members you would like added to your project.

If you would like to request the installation of additional commonly-used third-party software package on Chinook, please see:

Software installation requests may experience a delay due to an increase in the number of requests being received and short staffing. Users are encouraged to use their home directories for personal software installations if immediate access is needed.
