SAR specialists to convene in Fairbanks Nov. 7-9, 2011

 

 

The Alaska Satellite Facility and the Geophysical Institute will host the 2011 Committee on Earth Observation Satellites' Synthetic Aperture Radar Calibration and Validation Workshop from Nov. 7 to Nov. 9, 2011. The meeting will be held in the Copper Room at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge.

 

During the workshop, representatives of all major international space agencies will meet in Fairbanks to discuss the status of current and future missions, determine calibration requirements and present new directions in SAR data processing and applications. The meeting provides a unique opportunity to learn about recent developments in radar remote sensing and personally interact with decision makers and data providers.
