Hello NASDUG,
To begin with, I want to pass along our deepest appreciation for the
wonderful opportunities that you have all played a part in providing us
as a startup geospatial business here in the Interior of Alaska. We
were able to reach several significant milestones during the Alaska
Surveying and Mapping Conference. I want to extend a very special thank
you to Martin Gutoski, the entire AKSMC committee and Arthur Roraff of
The Coordinators, Inc. for all of your answers to all of our questions.
I would like to say a special thank you to those who attended our
conference short courses (ArcObjects - Beyond the User Interface and The
CAD-GIS Connection) and to Shari George and the ASPRS for making these
short courses possible. I would also like to say a special thank you to
those who attended our GIS + GPS = $$ Saved workshop, and to Tom
Heinrichs, GINA, Bill Witte, the Dept. of Geology and to UAF for making
that course a possibility. As a quick FYI, even though there were
students enrolled in both Pre and Post conference Intro to ArcGIS
classes, we became so busy preparing for the aforementioned short
courses and GIS + GPS workshop that we had to reschedule both the Pre
and Post conference offerings of Intro to ArcGIS. I am grateful to
those enrolled in the Pre and Post classes for your understanding and
your willingness to wait until our next offering of Intro to ArcGIS I
and II.
With that, I am pleased to announce our next offering of ESRI Intro to
ArcGIS I and II classes for version 9.2. Intro to ArcGIS I will be held
on May 14th and 15th followed by Intro to ArcGIS II on May 16th, 17th
and 18th. We continue to enjoy the privilege of being able to provide
this high quality training in an equally high quality facility, the GINA
Remote Sensing Lab on UAF campus in the West Ridge Research Bldg (WRRB
004). Rates for these courses are as follows:
Intro to ArcGIS Level I = $200/seat undergrad; $400/seat grad, faculty
or staff; $600/seat commercial.
Intro to ArcGIS Level II = $300/seat undergrad; $600/seat grad, faculty
or staff; $900/seat commercial.
Seating is limited to 12 in each class. As of this posting there are 6
enrolled in ArcGIS I and 4 enrolled in ArcGIS II. Please contact me at
907-750-1641 or geoapps at gci.net if you have any questions, need
additional information or would like to reserve a seat in either or both
courses.
Sincerely,
Peter Hickman
