Time to be thinking of the upcoming 42nd Alaska Surveying & Mapping
Conference. Mark your calendars for February 25 - 29, 2008 at the Sheraton
Anchorage Hotel. This year's conference theme is, "Alaska's People -
Alaska's Land - Geospatial Resolutions."

We are really trying to shine more of a spotlight on the Technical Sessions
this year. Based on feedback from the last conference, we will be
publishing presentation titles, authors and abstracts of the Technical
Sessions in the early Registration packets that are widely mailed out as
well as online at the conference website. This is a great opportunity to
share your work, discoveries, new projects/programs, results, updates on
ongoing projects, technical tips, how-to's..We will also be combining with
the GIS Jam for some joint sessions that address topics that cross the
boundaries of all our specialties. I know there are lots of great ideas and
topics out there; this is the place to share them with others in Alaska!
It's easy and the conference is always great.
