Biographical Sketch:

Dr. Olson joined the Geophysical Institute in 1979. His research interests have included the study of geomagnetic pulsations at high latitudes associated with the night-side aurorae and with the dayside magnetospheric boundaries. He also has carried out programs of ULF and VLF diagnostics for ionospheric heating programs and has a strong interest in digital signal analysis. He helped to re-establish the infrasound research program at the GI and led the GI participation in the US portion of the CTBT program.
