
1.1 Eligibility
All full- and part-time regular employees in administrative, professional, technical (APT) and support staff (classified) positions who do not have faculty rank and who have been employed by the GI for at least one year. Student assistants who have been employed by the GI for at least one year are also eligible.
1.2 Nomination and Selection of Award Recipients
Recipients must be nominated for the award. No anonymous submissions will be accepted. Selection of recipients is done by the Employee Recognition Committee, and is based upon:
Up to 2 awards will be available per fiscal year. Awards can be made to
individuals or groups. Nomination deadlines are January 1 and
July 1.
1.3 Award
The Outstanding Performance Award consists of a personalized certificate; lunch with the director; announcement via the electronic marquee, a director's memo to the staff, in the GI newsletter and web page, and in the FDNM Business Notes; and 4 hours off with pay. A summary of the year's awards will be given at the annual GI Christmas party.
