Lyn McNutt - Research Associate Professor - She has experience in all aspects of planning and implementing complete Earth observation from space programs. She has nearly 20 years experience in air-sea-ice research, beginning with the SEASAT pre-launch validation studies. She has been involved in data processing for airborne and satellite sensor and in ground segment design as part of the SEASAT, READARSAT, ERS-1 and 2, ADEOS and ENVISAT programs. Her current research interests are in sea ice dynamics in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas and the use of remote sensing data to validate and initialize regional and climate models. She works on air-sea-ice interactions in the Bering Sea and studies impacts of climate change on sea ice, marine mammals and coastal regions.
