General Requirements:
--Lucent Technology WaveLAN/ORiNOCO PC card, a Cisco wireless networking PC
card, or built-in Apple Airport card.
--WaveLAN/AirPort drivers CD.
--For Win NT only: you need CardWizard.
Pre-Installtion for Windows computers:
--Insert the drivers CD into your drive.
--Place the drivers onto your hard drive. In this demo, it is assumed
that you placed them at C:\WaveLan. You may choose another name.

Win 95 Driver Installation:
--Insert the card into the PCMCIA slot.
--An installation window will appear. Click next.
--Click other locations.
--Enter C:\WaveLan in the locations field.
--Click OK.
--Click Finish.
--You may get an error that "wvlan41.inf" can't be found. In this case,
enter C:\WaveLAN into the copy files from field.
--You may be asked to fill in a computer and workgroup name as well. If
so, fill out the information and click close.
--Click OK and wait.
--Reboot your computer when asked to.
--If you have tcp/ip installed, you should now be operational, otherwise
click here.

Win 98 Driver Installation:
--Insert the card into the PCMCIA slot.
--An installation window will appear. Click next twice.
--Uncheck the floppy disk drives option.
--Check the specify a location option.
--Enter C:\WaveLan into the text field.
--Click next twice.
--Click OK and wait.
--You may get an error that "wvlan41.inf" can't be found. In this case,
enter C:\WaveLAN into the copy files from field and click
OK.
--Click finish.
--Reboot your computer when asked to.
--If you have tcp/ip installed, you should now be operational, otherwise
click here.

Win NT Driver Installation (with tcp/ip installed):
--You must have Card Wizzard installed.
--Insert the card into the PCMCIA slot.
--Click correct.
--Click OK.
--Click add.
--Click have disk.
--Enter C:\WaveLan in the field.
--Click OK three times.
--Click close.
--Select the obtain an IP address from DHCP server option.
--Click yes.
--Click OK.
--Click yes.

Win 2000 Driver Installation:
--Insert the card into the PCMCIA slot.
--Wait.
(Thats it, in theory.)

Mac OS8/OS9 WaveLAN Driver Installation:
--Insert the card into the PCMCIA slot.
--Open the tcp/ip controll panel.
--Make sure tcp/ip is active, and in the connect via menu select the
ethernet option.
--Insert the drivers CD.
--Double-click the installer.
--Click coninue.
--Click install.
--Click restart (this will reboot your computer).
--When your computer is rebooted, double click the WaveLan/IEEE
icon on your desktop.
--In the connect via menu select the WaveLAN/IEEE option.
--Close the AppleTalk window.
--Click save.
--Open the tcp/ip controll panel.
--In the connect via menu select the WaveLAN/IEEE option.
--In the configure menu, select the using DHCP server option.
--Close the window and click save if it appears.
(I think there's a mistake in there; need to be tested.)

AirPort Software Installation for Mac OS9:
--You may alrady have the AirPort software installed. If you do, skip to
the setup section below.
--Insert the driver CD into your drive.
--Lanuch the Apple AirPort Installer.
--Click select.
--Click continue....
--Click agree.
--Click start.
--Click continue....
--Click restart (this will reboot your computer).
--Once rebooted, click on the forward arrow in the AirPort Setup
Assistant window.
--Click go ahead.
--Click quit.
AirPort Setup for Mac OS9:
--Open your main hard drive.
--Open the assistants folder.
--Launch the AirPort Setup Assistant and click on the
forward arrow in the window.
--Click go ahead.
--Click quit.
