1. University of Alaska
University of Alaska Fairbanks Center for Research Services is home to the UAF's research administration offices. The Center is comprised of the Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of Research Integrity, and the Office of Intellectual Property & Licensing. Under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor for Research, the Center administers all UAF's research compliance, ethics, intellectual property, and pre-award activities. An introduction to the Center for Research Services for New and Not So New Faculty is available.
University of Alaska Fairbanks Grants and Contracts has a manual which provides guidance and understanding of UAF administrative oversight and technical research responsibilities relative to restricted fund accounts (funded proposals). However, if you have specific questions or concerns concerning GI funded proposals, you should contact the Geophysical Institute Business Office Grants and Contracts personnel.

National Council of University Research Administrators
The National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) is an organization of individuals with professional interests in the administration of sponsored programs (research, education and training), primarily at colleges and universities, with a common desire to:
* Promote the development of more effective policies and procedures relative to the administration of sponsored programs to assure the achievement of the maximum potential in academic programs.
* Provide a forum through national and regional meetings for the discussion and exchange of information and experiences related to sponsored programs in colleges and universities.
* Provide for the dissemination of current information and exchange of views on mutual concerns.
* Promote the development of college and university research administration and the administration of other sponsored programs as a professional field, and to stimulate the personal growth of the members of the Council.
Society of Research Administrators
The Society of Research Administrators is an international organization dedicated to the education and professional development of research administrators, as well as the enhancement of public understanding of the importance of research and its administration.
