Major components:

  • Air temperature.
  • Snow depth, ultrasonic sensor.
  • Solar panel.
  • Lighting rod.
  • High density soil temperature array (MRC) from the surface till 1 meter depth.
  • Three soil moisture probes with temperature sensors at 0.05, 0.15, 0.3 meter.
  • Where possible deep boreholes to monitor long term changes in permafrost temperature.
  • Datalogger

  • Soil temperature measurements using HOBO loggers at a variety of depths.
