The glaciers group at the Geophysical Institue consists of faculty, students, and staff from the Department of Geology and Geophysics and the Department of Physics, and of affiliated faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, the Institute of Northern Engineering, and the International Arctic Research Center.

Our research consists of a wide range of topics, including repeat-profile airborne laser altimetry, glacier mass balance modeling, the dynamics of lake and tidewater calving glaciers, subglacial processes, post-glacial rebound, and ice sheet modeling.
