This is a photo of a King Salmon caught in the Talkeetna River. This guy weighed in at 55 lbs. My friend in the picture is John Huffman. He is responsible for the most fantastic Salmon fishing trip in my life. On this trip we must have caught over 30 fish in the 30 - 50 lb. range.
King Salmon can be caught right here in the Chena River that runs right through Fairbanks. The fish that come here are from the Yukon River drainage. My friend Dave Covey and I fish the Chena River with much success. To see Dave with a salmon, go to his WWW page.
