This is a walking liberty half dollar piece that I found with my White's 5000D. The date is 1945 and difficult to see in this scan because of the heavy tarnish on the date. I found this in an old school yard and was surprised because I had not found any other coins after a full two hours of hunting and because it was only about 1 inch deep! I think the place had been hunted before and this piece was just flat missed by other hunters. One of only two half dollars I have ever found that are pre-Kennedy halfs.
