Melt model

Research focuses on the link between the atmosphere and glacier mass balance by studying the surface energy balance of glaciers based on detailed field measurements. Energy-balance and temperature index models are used to model mass balance and glacier runoff of various glaciers word-wide. The models are also used to assess the response of glacier mass balance and discharge future to climate change based on the latest predictions given by climate models.

Some current projects:

Energy balance and mass balance of Vestfonna, Svalbard.
The project is part of the IPY project 'Kinnvika'
