Some historical
photographs of McGinnis Glacier

The terminus of the glacier can clearly be seen, even though it is very
dirt covered. The glacier is in retreat.

It is much more difficult to make out a terminus now. The downglacier
area seems stationary and looks like it is just decaying in place.

The glacier looks significantly healthier in this picture. Was there a
surge between 1974 and 1994?

The glacier has clearly undergone a major surge!
