Chinook Scheduled Downtime

Activity: Chinook cluster expansion
Start: Monday, February 6 2017, 8:00am AKDT
End: Friday, February 10 2017, 5:00pm AKDT
Expected duration: 5 days
Affected systems: chinook.alaska.edu

chinook.alaska.edu will be offline for the week of February 6-10 per plans to expand the cluster. During this time 35 new nodes (Relion 1900v2 each w/ 28 cores, 128GB memory) will be added to the cluster. One new node will be allocated to the debug partition (making two total) and 34 to the standard partitions (for 66 total). No other core RCS services will be impacted, but available RCS staff time will be highly diminished.
