The NOAA Alaska NextGen Satellite Workshop 2024 will be held in Anchorage, Alaska. The goal of this workshop is for Alaskans to tell satellite product developers more about the data and services they need to make good decisions. And vice versa, for satellite product developers to show what is possible and how it benefits or could benefit Alaskans. While NOAA is the core agency co-hosting this workshop with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, we have scientists from other agencies and the private sector and data users from many different Alaska-based entities. The outcomes of the meeting will include new partnerships and collaborations, a written report highlighting specific needs from the satellite science community for Alaskans, and an increased understanding of what it is like to live in one of Alaska's rural communities.
This workshop will be held Sept. 10–12, 2024 at the Anchorage Museum, 625 C Street, Anchorage, AK 99501. The Anchorage Museum is located in downtown Anchorage, Alaska at the corner of 7th Avenue and C Street. View a map and written directions.
